So, if you’re taking a road trip around Iceland, it’s most convenient to stay there either at the very beginning or very end of your trip, depending on the direction you’re traveling. Panorama Glass Lodge is about 2 hours away from Keflavik Airport, or 1.75 hours from Reykjavik. If you’d like to stay here, make sure to plan your trip and book your stay early! Location Panorama Glass Lodge has been featured in many major publications, and the individual lodges are usually booked months in advance. You truly feel like you’re in a stunningly beautiful middle of nowhere. Their four lodges are spread out over a large land area to make sure all guests have enough privacy. When they opened the first lodge in 2017, their goal was to build glass cabins with panoramic views that allow guests to witness the midnight sun (in summer, Iceland experiences almost 24 hours of sunlight), stars, and northern lights from the comfort of their bed. Panorama Glass Lodge is owned by a family in Selfoss, Iceland (originally from Germany and Switzerland). It was an utterly unique travel experience, not to mention one of the most beautiful cabins we’ve stayed in. But we knew we HAD to stay at least one night at Panorama Glass Lodge. Our goal was to spend most nights at campsites and not book any other accommodations. This summer we took a road trip around Iceland in a camper van.
